God is Calling You

Preparing You
according to HIS purpose

There are different kinds of gifts, but the same Spirit distributes them. There are different kinds of service, but the same Lord. There are different kinds of working, but in all of them and in everyone it is the same God at work.
1 Corinthians 12:4-10 New International Version (NIV)

Now to each one the manifestation of the Spirit is given for the common good. To one there is given through the Spirit a message of wisdom, to another a message of knowledge by means of the same Spirit, to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by that one Spirit, to another miraculous powers, to another prophecy, to another distinguishing between spirits, to another speaking in different kinds of tongues, and to still another the interpretation of tongues.

Your talents, opportunities, and resources are all gifts from the Giver of all things good. And the best way to say "Thank You" for these gifts is to use them.
Do you have a particular talent? Hone your skill and use it.
Do you possess financial resources? Share them. Have you been blessed by a particular opportunity, or have you experienced unusual good fortune? Use your good fortune to help others. If God has given you the ability to Prophesy, speak out with as much faith as God has given you. If your gift is serving others - serve them well. If it's teaching, teach well. If your gift is to encourage others, be encouraging. If God has given you leadership ability, take the responsibility seriously. And if you have a gift of showing kindness to others, do it gladly.
When you share the gifts God has given you -- and when you share them freely and without fanfare -- you invite God to bless you more and more. So today, do yourself and the world a favor: be a faithful steward of your talents and treasures, and then prepare yourself for even greater blessings that are to come. What a mighty God we serve!
